Arduous (2020)

Arduous is my first years student short film.
In this time I was still struggeling with alot of mental health problems and I wanted to give that a place to make this movie about what was the hardest part for me every day.
You see this animorphotic creature struggeling to get from one island to another. The sea is a kind of sludge/tar that makes it diffecult to get through it. When she finally get the island she wanted to be, you can see that it's the exact same island.
This was a daily struggle for me and for many others that have mental health problems. Every step you take feels like you fight for your life, and when you get to the point you wanted to be. It feels like you have to start over all again.
I wanted to make this movie for awareness about depression and how hard it can ben to get from point A to B if you suffer from depression.
